Promotional artwork for an anime titled Tensui no Sakuna-hime. The image features a stylized chibi-style character, a young girl with large eyes and short hair, wearing a reddish-brown kimono-like robe tied with a rope belt and a conical straw hat. She is depicted from the waist up, and her right arm is raised in a gesture that suggests either a greeting or a martial arts stance. The background is a textured orange-red wash, suggestive of a sunset or fire, with stylized grass at the bottom. The title 'Tenshin' is written in large, bold Japanese characters across the top, and smaller text at the bottom in Japanese announces the anime adaptation. The overall artistic style is a blend of manga and anime influences, with a distinctly sketchy, hand-drawn look.
Anime Sequel Announced for Tensui no Sakuna-hime

A sequel for the Tensui no Sakuna-hime anime, based on Edelweiss's Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin video game, has been officially announced. The original character designer, Ryouta Murayama, marked the news with a commemorative illustration. The first season aired in Summer 2024 with 13 episodes, produced by P.A. Works and simulcast by Crunchyroll (except in Asia). The story follows Sakuna, a goddess cast from her celestial realm, who must rediscover her powers by fighting demons and cultivating rice on a hostile island.
