Cygames has announced its original TV anime Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show, set to debut in 2025. The story follows Miko Kurono, aka "Necronomico," who begins her dream job as a live streamer after junior high. Alongside her childhood friend Mayu Mayusaka and rival Kanna Kagurazaka, Miko's life changes when they try a new VR game with unexpected consequences.
Key staff includes director Masato Matsune (Chronos Ruler), writer Makoto Uezu (Akame ga Kill!), character designer Jiro Suzuki (Revenger), and composer Evan Call. The anime stars Riho Sugiyama, Nana Usumi, and Manaka Iwami in lead roles.
