Khara and Sunrise will produce the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (pronounced “g-quax”) TV series, revealed during the "Gundam Conference Winter 2024." Select episodes will debut as Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- in theaters on January 17. A global release is expected soon.
The story follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high-schooler in a space colony, whose peaceful life changes after meeting Nyaan, a war refugee. Drawn into illegal Clan Battle mobile suit duels under the name "Machu," Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX. Chaos unfolds when she encounters Shūji, the pilot of a mysterious Gundam targeted by the space force and police.
Directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL), with scripts by Yoji Enokido (Bungo Stray Dogs) and Hideaki Anno (Evangelion), character designs by Take (Katanagatari), and mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita (Evangelion). The cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa, Yui Ishikawa, and Shimba Tsuchiya.
