Short animation "Let Me Hear About You"
Animation studio MAPPA and Contrail produced a short animation about young carers, titled "きかせてほしい きみのこと" (Kikasete Hoshii Kimi no Koto), released on the Nakano ward's YouTube channel in Tokyo. The animation addresses the challenges faced by young people caring for family members, exploring the impact on their school and personal lives. The project arose from the Nakano ward's initiative in partnership with the government and the private sector. The story follows Yuuma, an elementary school student, discovering what it is to be a young carer through his friend Kenta. A special exhibition featuring storyboards and character designs from the animation will be held at the Nakano East Library.
