Synopsis
Kazuhiro Kitase has only one hobby: sleeping. Since childhood, he’s been able to enter a "fantasy world" in his dreams, where he embarks on exciting adventures. One day, he sets out on a journey with an elf girl he befriends in this dream world. However, their adventure comes to an abrupt end when they encounter a dragon and are consumed by its fiery breath! When Kazuhiro wakes up, he notices someone familiar sleeping next to him... Could it really be the elf girl from his dreams?
Staff
Director - Tooru Kitahata: Most of Kitahata's career has been in directing roles, although he’s been a lead director in only about 15% of his projects. He has experience with ecchi anime, such as serving as assistant director for High School DxD, as well as comedy, so he should be well-suited for this project.
Sound Director - Hiroto Morishita: A seasoned professional who has spent his entire career as a sound director, working on numerous anime titles.
Series Composition - Aya Yoshinaga: Somewhat experienced, having worked on Natsume Yuujinchou Shichi and Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu. However, most of Yoshinaga’s contributions have been limited to individual episodes.
Studio
Overall, the studio is average—occasionally performing slightly above that. Nothing here should be a concern.
Voice Actors
The main cast is quite experienced, featuring:
Kaede Hondo as Mariabelle: Best known for her roles as Elaina in Majo no Tabitabi, Maple in BOFURI, and Mishima Hitomi, a supporting character in Hinamatsuri.
Yuusuke Kobayashi as Kazuhiro Kitase: A standout in terms of voice acting. His most notable roles include Senkuu from Dr. Stone and Subaru from Re:Zero.
Final Consideration: The anime shapes up to be average, with the voice cast being the main highlight and the staff performing adequately. The preview, aside from the female protagonist and a few fanservice scenes, is simple but features good backgrounds and some funny moments. The studio has experience with this kind of anime, so it’s unlikely there will be any major issues. The action sequences aren’t particularly impressive, but since they’re not a core element, it doesn’t detract much from the overall experience.
If you’re looking for a romantic comedy and don’t mind occasional fanservice from the director, this one might be worth a shot!
