The romantic comedy manga Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites), by Koucha Agasawa, is getting a TV anime adaptation by Lapin Track, set to air in January 2026. Shochiku unveiled the news with a commemorative illustration from Agasawa.
Originally a one-shot on Shounen Jump+ in January 2021, the manga began serialization in May 2022 and concluded with 65 chapters after 3.5 years. Its final volume is set for March 2023, and the series has sold 1.35 million copies.
Seihantai na Kimi to Boku ranked in the top 10 of the male readers' division in the 2023 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! and received nominations for the 16th and 17th Manga Taisho awards.
Synopsis:
Miyu Suzuki, a lively girl, and Yuusuke Tani, a reserved boy, sit next to each other in class. Through brief, simple exchanges, their mutual affection grows.
