The anime adaptation of Shun Umezawa's "The Darwin Incident" will premiere in January 2026. A teaser PV and visual have been released, featuring Charlie, the humanzee, and the mysterious Rivera. The PV showcases Charlie's abilities and hints at a larger conflict. The visual depicts Charlie as a chess piece with Rivera reaching out, accompanied by the chilling line: "Humanzee, you are 'special'." Tsuda Naokatsu directs, with animation by Bellnox Films.
